First day at school

finally, the school life starts - my new journey in my life, what will happen next, I wonder?
Teaching is not a easy profession, it's actually a kind of art, I must admit, it's how you present, deliver what the learners have to know and grow with the kids at the same time. I'm still figuring out whether I'm choosing the right way to forward my life. Maybe, at the moment, I just want to be a bit wild to myself, so called escape from the reality, from the work for some times, and look forward to a long holiday to relax and refresh myself.

There's not much great change in the HKU campus, the mode of study gives me the first impression that IT is much emphasised. Everything the tutors wants us to do is through web, does that mean we cannot live without computer?! Classmates are from variety of backgrounds, a very large group indeed. I met my groupmates, most of them are younger than me, working with them is another challenge to me. Hope everything turns out well.

When I'm walking in the campus, I've tried to recollect what I had experienced in the past undergraduate studies. I hope the coming 10 months will give me more inspiration in how I plan for my futre.

Phantom of the opera

I hadn't thought that I'd got a chance to watch the muscial - Phantom of the opera, the ticket was so expensive!!!!!!! I was already very satisfied when the TV showed the film.

Thanks for my special teacher who invited me to watch the muscial last Thur. I'd say it is a very nice birthday present to me this year! To me, it means more than a present.

Though the musical shown in HK is not that fantastics - the songs sung by Chirstine in fact not as good as the one in the TV. The voice of Phantom is much more attractive and the decoration is excellent.

Talking about my special teacher - I am really thankful to her not only she gave me a treat but she has taught me so many things and skills. I respect her very much!

Quiet time to reflect and feel

the last 3 weeks were really filled with works, testings, school visits, filming, workshops etc. Haven't been so busy for some times. Somehow, it was exciting coz everyday has something different. How's my working life in the coming month?! have to start wrapping up, have to take special care of my colleagues, have to handle tasks of my ex-colleague and my on-leave boss, etc etc, how should I start? What is the suitable time to tell my other colleagues that I'm becoming a part-time worker? a lot of questions to think, and cope with, my mind is very busy, sigh!!!!

These few months, I've some special feelings towards the teachers I've been contacting over the years, in fact a bit touched, I've been chatting with them more often, meeting those who haven't met for a long time (both myself and them actually haven't changed much!) -- is that what called 'relationship'? But once I've thought I'm leaving, it is a bit sad.

Come to the children, I suddenly realised that this year primary 6 students are a very special group -- not only they are the first group facing the BCA/TSA, but also the ones affected by the new secondary and tertiary education system. I am really interested in how our programmes are helping us to handle their future study and thinking skills!

Yesterday, seeing a new lot of teachers joining the programmes, how would they be?

Towards music

finally brought a guitar for learning how to play guitar. it seems not easy to master it, fingers are not flexible to press the strings. Still a long way to go about it.
